The MarTech Systems Manager leads the management, optimisation, and strategic use of the organisation’s fundraising CRM and marketing technology platforms. This role ensures Salesforce and associated automation tools are configured and integrated to enable effective supporter journeys, data-driven decision-making, and scalable fundraising execution. Working across Digital, Supporter Experience & Journeys, and Fundraising teams, the CRM & MarTech Systems Manager ensures the systems deliver measurable impact in acquisition, retention, ROI, and supporter satisfaction.
Key Focus Areas:
- Manage and optimise fundraising CRM (Salesforce) and MarTech platforms, ensuring functionality meets evolving fundraising and marketing needs.
- Lead CRM configuration, customisation, and automation design to support scalable supporter journeys.
- Maintain system documentation, processes, and configuration standards.
- Coordinate UAT and release management processes, ensuring timely implementation of system updates and new functionalities.
- Partner with Digital, Supporter Experience & Journeys, and Fundraising teams to design and deliver system solutions that enhance acquisition, retention, and supporter satisfaction.
- Translate business needs into system requirements, user stories, and prioritised roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver seamless integrations and enhancements.
- Work with AI-Agent models in Snowflake to support data analysis, model training and verification of outputs.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and security across CRM and MarTech platforms.
- Maintain governance frameworks aligned with enterprise policies and compliance standards (e.g., privacy, consent management).
- Support adoption of best practices in data management and campaign execution.
- Oversee automated import pipelines and middleware to ensure clean, reliable data flows across systems.
- Design and deliver reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support fundraising, marketing, and supporter experience decision-making.
- Provide insights on campaign performance and supporter behaviour to inform optimisation strategies.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities that streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve supporter journeys.
- Champion innovation by leveraging MarTech capabilities for personalisation, segmentation, and predictive engagement.
- Models collaboration, creativity, candour and curiosity in team culture.
- Manage relationships with external CRM/MarTech vendors, consultants, and partners.
- Work closely with IT, Digital, and Fundraising stakeholders to ensure aligned delivery of projects and system enhancements.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or related field (desirable).
- Salesforce Administrator certification (required), with advanced Salesforce or MarTech certifications highly regarded.
- Significant experience managing Salesforce CRM (NPSP or equivalent fundraising modules preferred).
- Experience in managing database duplication issues and designing process improvements in complex environments (fundraising or marketing sector desirable)
- Strong understanding of MarTech platforms, marketing automation, and digital engagement tools.
- Demonstrated success in delivering CRM/MarTech solutions that drive fundraising or marketing ROI.
- Experience managing Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms, including automation of data pipelines and integrations.
- Exposure to AI / ML tools for data analysis and reporting (AI-Agent, predictive modelling) highly desirable.
- Experience in data governance, compliance, and privacy best practice.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and system solutions.
- Advanced skills in CRM configuration, workflows, automation, and integrations.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capability, with experience building dashboards and performance insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Project management and vendor management skills, with ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
