The Single Giving and Mid Donor Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering and tracking campaigns across the Single Giving program, developing tailored strategies to drive acquisition, retention, and giving growth, particularly within the mid-level donor tier. This role ensures single giving and mid donor activity is seamlessly integrated into the broader supporter journey, working collaboratively with Fundraising, Philanthropy, Supporter Experience & Journeys, and Digital teams to deliver personalised engagement, meaningful stewardship, and clear pathways for donors toward major giving. The Specialist holds accountability for all single giving and mid donor revenue and reporting within the Supporter Growth & Experience team, while day-to-day stewardship of mid donors transitions to the Philanthropy team once secured. The role holds accountability for mid-donor revenue and pipeline growth, with a focus on upgrading and retaining mid-value donors and identifying prospects for transition into major donor portfolios.
Key Focus Areas:
- Design, implement, and manage the Single Giving and to maximise engagement and giving growth, with particular focus on mid-donors.
- Develop tailored strategies for acquisition and uplift of mid-level donors.
- Identify and engage donors with unrealised mid-level capacity and lapsed mid-level donors, developing strategies to increase their support and impact.
- Monitor program performance, using data insights to refine approaches and achieve revenue and engagement targets.
- Plan and oversee initiatives that strengthen mid donor relationships, in conjunction with the Philanthropy team for multiple gifts.
- Ensure mid donor activity is integrated into the broader supporter journey.
- Implement coordinated multi-channel campaigns and events to build and maintain meaningful donor relationships.
- Work closely with Fundraising, Philanthropy, Supporter Experience & Journeys, and Digital teams to coordinate campaigns and newsletters and appeals.
- Support the identification of donors with potential to transition to major giving and ensure appropriate pathways are in place, handing over any qualified prospects to the Senior Manager, Philanthropy.
- In collaboration with the fundraising and marketing teams, create materials to retain single giving donors and drive growth within the mid-value donor portfolio, including persuasive cases for support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent and impactful messaging, events, and communications.
- Models collaboration, creativity, candour and curiosity in team culture.
- Maintain accurate donor records and activity in CRM systems.
- Collaborate with the data team to develop targeting strategies and implement clear segmentation to optimise campaign performance. Track program performance metrics, including retention, upgrade rates, and revenue growth.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership to inform strategy and decision-making
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and campaign ROI analysis.
- Keep informed of sector trends, emerging technologies, and best practice in fundraising and supporter engagement.
- Test and pilot new initiatives to grow single giving income and improve supporter experience.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in relationship and single giving campaign fundraising, including mid-value, philanthropy, community fundraising, or similar.
- Skilled in initiating donor contact, cultivating relationships and securing mid-level gifts, including stewardship.
- Ability to design impactful supporter journeys and identify opportunities to grow donor value.
- Proven track record in delivering revenue growth through campaign design, execution and donor upgrade pathways.
- Experienced in planning and delivering successful supporter engagement events.
- Strong expertise in strategy implementation, project management, and prioritising workloads to achieve KPIs in a results-driven environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High attention to detail and confident in reporting and data management.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build trusting, positive relationships both internally and externally.
- A proactive, sales-oriented and data mindset with the ability to identify upgrade opportunities and move donors along the giving pipeline.
