Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Process bank reconciliations daily for the bank accounts allocated to the staff member
  • Follow up with the appropriate business units in relation to banking queries
  • Reconcile Donation Income in Xero compared to Salesforce on a monthly/YTD basis and investigate/report any variances
  • Complete the Gifts in Wills Reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Maintain the fixed asset registers for additions, disposal, and transfers
  • Process general ledger journals and update reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis e.g., accruals, prepayments, intercompany journals, investments, restricted funds, fixed assets
  • Verify all appropriate documents/approvals for purchases, sales and write offs of fixed assets
  • Complete other reasonable tasks from time to time as directed by senior finance team members, the Financial Controller or the Finance Manager

Essential Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Completion or part completion of a postgraduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Finance role
  • Experience in mainstream accounting packages – XERO, Asset Management system and Salesforce highly regarded.
